Citizenship Ceremony

The traditional Citizenship Ceremony at Canada Place is an integral component of our day-long celebration and kicked off the days festivities at 10:00am on Friday, July 1 at Canada Place.

Candidates joining our Canadian family were led in a formal ceremony by Global TV anchor, Chris Gailus, and a distinguished Platform Party including regional, provincial and federal representation.

This special event is truly heartwarming and makes us all very proud to be Canadian

The Oath of Canadian Citizenship

I affirm that I will be faithful and bear true allegiance to Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second, Queen of Canada, Her Heirs and Successors, and that I will faithfully observe the laws of Canada and fulfill my duties as a Canadian
